Well, Ladbrokes and Bet365 have bother stopped taking bets on I'm A Celebrity for now. Maybe it's all moving a bit to quickly for them! We've had so many walkers, the so called celebritys clearly don't need our help to 'get out of here'! They just walk themselves! Gino is now the super hot favourite to win, but we reckon everyone will have walked out before the series finishes!
Celebs cruel to horses slam fans!!
I’m a Celebrity 2009 has got off to a controversial start with many viewers complaining about the use and treatment of horses in the first week of the popular TV show.
The horse were used in the first group task as celebrities Camilla Dallerup, Justin Ryan, Stuart Manning and Jimmy White were given the task of crossing a river on the backs of the horses.
Complaints were made that the horses looked very much in distress as they struggled to navigate the river with the celebrities on their backs.
However I’m a Celebrity bosses hit back stating that the horses were all highly trained animals and were used to swimming on a daily basis. Not only that, they insist that an experienced horse handling expert was on hand at all times and that “the celebrities were given a full and thorough briefing” prior to entering the water with the horses.
Despite this the RSPCA felt compelled to agree with the worried viewers and they expressed their concern about the treatment of the animals. Indeed, they went on to question the use of animals on the celebrity packed show. A spokesperson slammed the horse’s treatment as "unacceptable."
Camilla leaves!
As predicted here on BingoCat, Camilla is the first to leave! She wasn't really up for the lack of showers, food and general non-luxury life that most people take for granted these days. Sad to see such a pretty lady leave, although she was barely featured in the show so far. She has been replaced by Joe Bugner, former Heavyweight boxing Champion.
Andre admits celebrity approach
Antipodean pop star and tabloid favourite Peter Andre has admitted that he knocked back an approach to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!!
Andre is no stranger to the show, having spent time in the jungle back in 2004. Indeed it was on the show where he first met his ex-wife Katy Price.
The pop star gave his reasons for declining the approach to make a surprise re-appearance, stating his reluctance to go over old ground and his unwillingness to do something he had already done before.
His controversial ex, on the other hand, obviously held no such reservations as she agreed to reappear and is currently starring in the 2009 version of the hit TV show.
It is unclear whether or not the producers of the show would have been happy for both of them to star in this year’s show. However it almost certainly would’ve resulted in fireworks and controversy while no doubt providing a much needed ratings boost.
Andre also quoted the need to be near his children as another reason why he knocked back the invitation. The estranged couple have 3 children and he is currently looking after them.
